Raised Garden Beds
Children Gardening Together

Learning about growing food is fun and educational.

Having an outdoor space for growing fruit and vegetables, whether a few small raised-beds or a full-scale allotment, can really help to engage children and build confidence.

Allotments for Schools can help whether you already have a space or are keen to get started.

Here are just some ways we can help, please let us know if you have other needs.

  • Maintaining and growing your existing vegetable plot or nature space.

  • Setting up and maintaining a new nature space or vegetable plot in your school grounds.

  • Developing a partnership with a local allotment site to support your school nature areas.

  • Developing a partnership with a local allotment site for small group visits.

  • Developing a partnership with a local allotment site to have a dedicated school allotment off site.

  • Getting ideas for linking your nature area to the curriculum though suggested activities.

This is a free service, available to state run primary schools with a Leeds postcode (starting in north east Leeds in 2027). Just let us know what help you need and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

If in another area of Leeds please still get in touch to express interest.
