Volunteers

As a volunteer you might be an allotment owner, a teacher, a parent/carer/grandparent, a keen gardener or someone in the community who has time to give for this important initiative.
You can help by:
-
Collecting and dropping off donated items, such as compost, plants, garden tools, raised beds or window boxes.
-
Supporting a local school to set up or maintain their school-based growing plot.
-
Supporting visits to a local allotment.
-
Supporting a school that has an offsite allotment plot.
-
Assisting with fundraising and promotional activities.
If you would like to be involved, or want to know more, please get in touch using the Contact Us form. There is no obligation and there are many different ways to help, depending on your time and skills. Allotments for School will not be able to achieve its mission without the help of a team of volunteers.
Please note, you will need a current DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) if working with children. The school you are working with will ensure that this is in place.
